Colon Hydrotherapy

Colon Hydrotherapy (Colonics)

Colon hydrotherapy (colonic) involves a gentle flow of water through a nozzle inserted into the rectum to evacuate the contents of the lower colon. The pressure, temperature, and flow of water will all be safely regulated throughout the procedure. This procedure removes fecal matter from the colon and may dilute the bacterial toxin concentration in the large intestine.

Some therapeutic effects of colonics may be improved muscle tone, facilitating peristaltic action, and enhancement of absorption of nutrients from the cecum and ascending colon while minimizing the absorption of toxic waste material.

The cleansing effects of colon hydrotherapy can reduce stagnation and subsequent bacterial proliferation in the colon and may maintain harmony of the intestinal flora in promoting optimal health.

Session Expectations

During a session, most clothing can be kept on with a drape covering your body to maintain modesty.
A disposable rectal nozzle is inserted, and water gently flows through your colon, softening fecal matter and stimulating the colon’s natural peristaltic action to release the waste.
This sanitary procedure takes 30-45 minutes.
A colonic session is a comfortable experience for most people. Slight cramping may occur, but light eating and drinking plenty of water the day before may help to keep it to a minimum.

Port Orchard Natural Medicine uses a user-friendly device called the LIBBE, “an open system”. The LIBBE Colon Hydrotherapy System is an FDA-registered Class II medical device for colon cleansing when medically indicated, such as before radiological or endoscopic examination.

Before Your Session

Please prepare the day before your session by drinking a few liters of water throughout the day to ensure that you are well-hydrated for your session. Eat healthy and nourishing foods the day of your colon hydrotherapy session, unless you are fasting. Eating a meal two to four hours before your colonic is ideal, but no food or beverage should be consumed in the two hours before your appointment.
